The Tallman Volunteer Fire Department (TVFD) has safeguarded its community since 1909, evolving from simple bell alerts to a fully equipped, modern fire service. Covering Tallman, Airmont, Montebello, Monsey, Suffern, and Wesley Hills, the department embodies more than a century of dedication, courage, and volunteer spirit.

? A Modern Force for Safety
TVFD maintains a robust fleet that includes three pumpers, a brush unit, a heavy rescue truck, and a tower ladder—ensuring rapid, effective response to any emergency. Weekly drills and ongoing training keep members prepared for challenges ranging from structure fires to accident extrications.

? Neighbors Serving Neighbors
With more than 70 active and junior members, TVFD is built on volunteer commitment. Every firefighter lives within the service area, creating a deep bond of trust between the department and the community it protects.

? Growing the Next Generation
Through its Junior Firefighter Program, the department welcomes youth aged 16–18 to gain hands-on experience in the fire service. Under supervision, these young volunteers train and assist at calls, preparing to step into full membership when they reach adulthood.
